This blog is about parents opting out of standardized tests and what it means for school districts. With No Child Left Behind and Common Core, this could become a huge problem for teachers. What happens when a majority or even a great deal of parents start pulling their students from public schools and start putting them in private schools. This link is for an article about students who are being opted out for standardized tests, http://nymag.com/news/features/anti-testing-2013-12/ It talks about how students are losing interest in school because of these tests. It could become a huge problem, not only if students are losing interest in school, but also if these students are pulled out of school. Just something us future educators need to think about.
